Obituary of Lorraine M. Michaels-Kasten

Lorraine Mary Michaels-Kasten, (nee Plechanty), age 85, of Plainfield, IL and Mesa, AZ passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 after a brief illness.

Lorraine is survived by her loving family, husband, Marvin Kasten of Mesa, AZ; son, Larry Michaels of Marseilles, daughters, Kathleen Murray Patterson of Willow Springs, Debbie Satterfield of Jacksonville, NC, and Vicki Lovett of Bedford, TX; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Michaels (2010).

Lorraine dedicated her life to taking care of those around her and was a Girl Scout leader for 15 years.

Funeral services for Lorraine Michaels-Kasten will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
