Marshall E. Mantia
Marshall E. Mantia age 79, a life-long area resident, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 23, 2017 at home with his family by his side.
Born in Joliet, Illinois on June 26, 1938 to Eugene and Eunice (nee Eich) Mantia. Marshall was a retired school teacher and a self employed businessman for many years. Marshall loved hunting, fishing and socializing.
Marshall was a 32nd Degree Mason member and a past Master of Matteson Lodge # 175. Marshall was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by his wife, children and grandchildren.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judith “Judy” (nee Allen), three sons; Matthew (Gina), Jason (Robyn) and Joel Mantia; eight grandchildren; Gage, Gillian, Jared, Evelynn, Valerie, Madison, Nicholas and Taylor, one sister; Robin Gonzalez.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Marshall E. Mantia will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 11:00 a.m. at The Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black (at Essington Rds.) Joliet. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
