Marlene J. Kozak
(nee McMullen)

Marlene J. Kozak, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Morris Hospital.  Born and raised in Streator, IL, the daughter of the late Walter and Lucille (nee Sornberger) McMullen.  Marlene resided in Morris for the past four years.  She was formerly employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. as well as a healthcare provider at Streator Unlimited.  Marlene loved crochet, reading and gardening, enjoyed playing euchre and bingo, and she thoroughly loved her grandchildren and attending all their activities.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and an avid Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan.

Survivors include her daughter, LuAnn (Ralph) Wagner of Morris; her son, John Kozak of Normal, IL; five grandchildren, Stephen and Kelsey Wagner, Krista, Shayla and Kaitlyn Kozak; her great-grandson, Andrew Wagner; brother, Jerome (Janice) McMullen of Streator, IL; sisters, Carol (Rob) Rowland, Judy (Ron) Feltes and Diane (Kent) Lindskog; sister-in-law, Linda McMullen and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Dale G. Kozak (2014); her parents; brother, Jerry McMullen and her niece, Shannon Rowland.

All friends and relatives are invited to meet on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at St. Anthony Cemetery, 1900 N. 14th Rd, Streator, IL 61363 for a graveside ceremony at 11:00 a.m.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials in her name to Morris Hospital Transportation Foundation, 150 W.
