Richard Scheidt

“Rick”

Age 66, a lifelong Joliet area resident, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born on December 8, 1950 to Joseph H. and Norma M. (nee Liess) Scheidt.

Rick enjoyed going to the Chicago Cubs games, watching the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls and all sports teams. His hobbies include designing and building picnic tables, patio furniture and wooden geese with his dad.

Preceded in death by his parents; Joseph H. Scheidt (2008) and Norma Scheidt (2014) and his sister, Susan Kay Scheidt (2002).

Survived by his loving sister Jonine (Charlene Griffin) Scheidt of Oswego.

Rick’s final gift to those who he has never met was to offer a second chance at life through his donation to Gift of Hope.

Funeral Service for Richard Scheidt will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds. Joliet. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name to Trinity Services, 301 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox, IL. 60451 would be appreciated.
