David Allen Muzzey

Age 58, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital following complications from a car accident.  David was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and hiking.  He enjoying fixing anything electronic and was an excellent cook, specializing in his famous ribs.  David was always very loving and helpful to all of his family and friends.  

David is survived by his son, Jason Muzzey; granddaughter, Alayna Nicole Muzzey; mother, Alice M. (nee Egizio) Muzzey; sister, Denise (Robert) Schmucker; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his father, Dennis R. Muzzey (2004) and brother, Dwayne Muzzey (2001).

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.  Friends and relatives may gather from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.  As it was David’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.  For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
