Obituary of James Isaac Wooldridge, Jr.

James Isaac Wooldridge, Jr., age 70, of Shorewood, and formerly of Berwyn and Bolingbrook, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born September 7, 1947 in Jonesboro, AR, he was the son of the late James Isaac and Mildred Geraldine (nee Fisher) Wooldridge, Sr.  Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of American Legion Marne Post # 13, Plainfield.  He worked as the Director of Safety and Compliance for All Truck Transportation Company, Chicago.

Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 48 years, Diane Marie (nee Miller) Wooldridge; four loving children, James I. Wooldridge, III, Kristina Sangiacomo, Andrea (Jason) Anderson, and Melissa (Joseph) Sitts; six dear grandchildren, Tre and Kendal Sangiacomo, Hailee and Justin Anderson, and Ricky and Lainy Sitts; and his fond sister, Cheryl (Fred) Arnold.

Funeral services for James Wooldridge will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet.  Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
