Obituary of Lou Ann Alleman

Lou Ann Sarver Meyers Alleman, (nee Bailus), age 75, late of Sheridan, and formerly of Joliet, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, with her family by her side.

Born May 5, 1942 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Ralph and Margaret (nee Hazeman) Balius.  She attended Joliet Junior College and also studied floral design.  For 15 years, she was the proprietor of GI-ANN Inc. in Joliet.

Lou Ann was a very sweet, generous and caring person who loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally.  If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever.  She also cared deeply about animals and their welfare.

Surviving are her husband, Edward Alleman of Sheridan; two sons, Ronald (Silvia) Sarver of Joliet, and Robert Sarver of Streator; three grandchildren, Robin, Felix and Bianca Sarver; three step-children, Wade Alleman, Wendy (Fred) Veltri, and James (Annie) Alleman; and step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Amber and Amanda Alleman, Kimberly Janes, Joseph Veltri, and Carissa, Melody and Michael Alleman.

She was preceded in death by a husband, Girard Meyers; and her parents.

Funeral services for Lou Ann Alleman will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Will County Humane Society, the Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, or any no-kill shelter would be appreciated.

Visitation will be held Thursday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
