Carol, Jason, Jeremy, and Jessica,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I still can't believe Jim is gone. He was my favorite boss of all time and a great, true, trusted friend for many years after I left Kemlite. He touched so many people in such a memorable way. He will be terribly missed.

We are very sad on hearing of Jim's passing. My first week at Kemlite, Jim took me to lunch in his Porsche. During my interview with him (for a Kemlite Sales position) we spoke of Porsches and Rock n Roll.
Jim knew his SportsCars and Rock n Roll, and it was always a pleasure to hear his knowledge on these subjects. His Guitar playing was 1st Class and will be missed.

Carol, I am so sorry to hear of Jims passing, he was quite the writer as he shared some of his stories with me. We were grade school friends and high school friends, until he disappeared, I never knew he went to another high school, I did know you two were an item and you got to marry your high school sweetheart! I am so sorry for your loss, may he rest in peace.

Dear Carol and family,
My heart goes out to you for what you are going through right now with the passing of your wonderful husband and father, Jim! It was just a little over two years ago that we so suddenly lost Doug, and what a reunion they and many others must be having in Heaven right now!! Doug thought the world of Jim, and only had good things to say about him. I remember the fun times we had at the parties at your home, and you and Jim were such a gracious host and hostess, Carol!! I had no idea that Jim had been ill, so was so surprised to see his obituary notice this morning! Thank you for the beautiful Christmas letter and pictures of your wonderful family!
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss, change, and adjustment!! God bless and comfort all of you! Sincerely, Judy Heinl

The Niswonger family truly extends its heartfelt condolences to the Simmons family during this sad period in their lives. Bill considered Jim to be a mentor and dearest friend during their many years together at both Kemlite and Crane Composites. He always offered encouragement even through the most difficult of challenges and had nothing but kind words to all those he met. Our world was made better by having Jim as part of our lives, and he will be truly missed

Dear Carol I am truly sorry for your loss. Jim was one of the kindest men I ever knew. He was the best of Claude and Dorothy. I have many memories of time spent with the two of you. I remember visiting y’all in Florida, living together in Claude’s house as our paths were going in different directions, babysitting Jason, dinners together, the family games we played, Jim helping us move, our kids playing, chocolate sodas and card games. I remember your visit to Texas and helping Liz off to college. Our lives went in different directions but Jim’s kindness remained steadfast throughout the years. He always made me feel so welcome, with that very Jim greeting, “hello kiddo, what’s up”. I have the deepest respect for Jim. I will always remember our deep conversations of life lived, kids grown up, grandkids, football games, and even my life with pugs. I have many treasured memories, a remembrance of stunts pulled, his life as a much loved brother in law, a wonderful husband to you, a great father and awesome grandfather, and the sound of his laughter. Thank you Jim for your friendship and your caring nature. Until we meet again “kiddo”, love you always.

In addition to Jim being my boss and a very savvy businessman, he was my friend and sometimes partner in crime at work. At Kemlite, he built a sales team that I am proud to say I was a part of. I have so many good and funny memories that have me smiling through tears.
Carol, Jason, Jeremy and Jessica you are all in my prayers. I hope you can take comfort in the many people who loved him and will miss him. He was the epitome of a good man.
