Russell Bruce Johnson
Age 75, of Morris, departed this earth and met his Lord and Savior at his son's home in Shorewood peacefully in the arms of his children and with his siblings by his side. Russell was born November 18, 1940 to Arvid H.M. Johnson and Fern Elfleda Skoien in Morris, Illinois.
Russell served his country in the Army from 1963 to 1965 where he was stationed at Scolfield Barricks in Hawaii, Honorably Discharged at the rank of PFC. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. as a painter after many years of service.
Survived by his children, Bruce Carl (Jamie) Johnson of Shorewood, John Russell (Burgundy) Johnson of Braceville and Vanesa Almanza of Dwight; special God daughter, Stephanie Cates; brothers, Wendel (Sharon) Johnson and Richard (Tina) Johnson both of Morris; sister, Pamela Floyd of Joliet; sister-in-law, Delores Johnson of Mazon; grandchildren, Carlos and Cynthia Almanza, Carli, Jacob and Bradley Johnson, Hannah and John Russell Jr. "PJ" Johnson; one great granddaughter, Jaylinn; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends; special friend, Rosemary and life long friend George Black.
Preceded in death by his parents, Arvid H.M. Johnson (1967) and Fern Elfleda Skoien (1995) and one brother, Arvid Maurice Johnson (2014).

Funeral services for Russell B. Johnson will be held Monday, June 13,2016 at 8:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. For information (815) 942-5040.
