Dr. Lanette Disera-Geissler posted a condolence

To the family of Diana Stonitsch,
Just wanted to send a short note on behalf of myself and my mother Bonnie Disera expressing what a beautiful lady your mother was. She was so kind and thoughtful to my mother, calling her daily to check on her and even stopping by occasionally to say hi. She knew my mother sometimes would not remember her due to her dementia but this never stopped your mother. She truly was one of a kind. She will forever be missed by the entire Joliet community!!
Love,
Lanette Disera-Geissler

Dear Diana Stonitsch Family especially granddaughter Sara,
Many years ago at St. Paul the Apostle Church while in prayer, Diana approached me to ask for prayers for her infant granddaughter who was gravely ill. Upon hearing her name I immediately thought of our own Sara who had died as an infant many years previously. So I offered to ask the intercession of our Sara for the life of Diana's Sara. Both Diana & I were thus bonded together forever. She was so proud to tell me of Sara's many accomplishments and never forgot to thank me for our prayers that day so long ago.
It seems that Diana was always "there" for me & my family in good times & bad. I often saw her with Gil at Inwood Golf Course as I came in from a round of golf with the Elks Golfers. Also I will always see her when I enter Al's. That first booth should have a plaque dedicated to Diana's memory.
We celebrated together Diana's victories over her frequent health issues. We celebrate today her final victory over death as she now lives forever with her Lord. We thank God for Diana's life and for showing us all how to live victorious in spite of anything life throws at us. She is the most resourceful, creative person I have ever known. Diana, I am sure you will have some words for me as I spend time quietly thinking of you. You will not be forgotten.

Dear Laurie, Mary and Ki,
Your Mom was a large beautiful personality with warm smile and robust chuckle that made me and many more happy throughout my childhood.
Carpooling in high school Diana was the slowest, sweetest driver one could imagine. Her beautiful smile, questions, happy words as we inched down the street.
The Stonitschs were a wonderful part of the Grumley's lives, from the screened porch from your first house to the Christmas parties in your big house.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Diana was one of the greats.
Much love,
Joan and Tom

To know Diana was to know joy and celebration for all people, especially those in the Joliet area. We celebrated with her, remembered those who were an inspiration, and now we'll always remember Diana in a very special way in which she touched our lives. It was our privilege to have her as our friend.
