Katherine B. Kinney

Age 97. Passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. A graduate of Providence High School. She retired from E.J.& E after 25 years of service in the personnel and police department. She was a life member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Member of St. Patrick's CCW, St. Patrick's 55 Club, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary for 23 years, the National Association of Railway Women and the Joliet Area Historical Society.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Charles J. Meyer (1941); her second husband, Robert F. Kinney (1979); parents, James Edward and Anastasia (nee Delaney) Barden; brothers, J. Raymond and J. Richard Barden; sisters, Patricia Barden and Mary B. Musolf.
Survived by her two sons, John R. (Roberta) Kinney and Will County Chief Judge, Gerald R. (Connie) Kinney; six grandchildren, James R., Sarah A., Sean, Christina and Brian Kinney and Kim Bennett; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, and twins Jackson and Bryon Bennett.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Katherine's caregivers, Jan Stephenson and Anna Sykla; and the staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice for their loving care.
Funeral Services for Katherine B. Kinney will be Monday, December 29, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., Fr. James Lennon Celebrant. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday 3-7 p.m. at:
