Obituary of Elizabeth Kirkpatrick

Elizabeth "Lillie" Kirkpatrick Age 84, passed away Wednesday January 18, 2011 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. Born February 13, 1926 in Bessbrook, County Armaugh, Northern Ireland, she was raised in Belfast where she married James Kirkpatrick (deceased). In 1948 she emigrated to the United States and settled in Dixon, IL where she raised her family. She was the beloved mother of Colleen (Art) Tofte of Marion, Ohio, Maureen (Mark) Fumagalli of Shorewood, IL, Eileen (Jim) Contos of Bolingbrook, IL and Michael Kirkpatrick of Lindenhurst, IL Devoted grandmother of Amy (Bob) Dudeck, Shawn (Connie) Tofte; Matthew (Mina) Fumagalli, Michael (Kirsten) Fumagalli; Stephanie (Shawn) Manis, Alex Contos; Nicholas (Heather) Jeppeson and Ryan Kirkpatrick. Proud great grandmother of Bobby and Braden Dudeck; Gabriel Fumagalli and Aleyna Manis. Also survived by sisters Ellen "Nell" Keho and Carole McFerran as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Conway, Albert Hodgen, Jack Hodgen, and Violet McGuigan. Elizabeth was very proud of her Irish heritage and was an accomplished Irish step dancer, earning many awards. Funeral services for Elizabeth Kirkpatrick will be held Saturday January 22, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Craig M. Herr officiating. Interment Plainfield Township Cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the Keigher Dance Academy or the Mended Hearts Club of Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
