Obituary of Phyllis Klimek
Phyllis Marie Klimek
Age 82. Entered her eternal life on Sunday, December 9, 2007. Born in Joliet, she was the daughter of Stephen A. and Magdalene Klimek.
She is survived by her sister, Genevieve "Jennie" (Ralph) Houck; two brothers, David (Marie) and Aloysius (Faye) Klimek and their families; special guardian angels, Jim (Mary Ann) Ward and Mary Elizabeth (Jim) Valkovich; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joseph J., Mark R., and Michael E.; one sister, Helen Veronica (Thomas J.) Ward.
She received her Bachelor and Masters Degrees at DePaul University, Chicago. She was a substitute teacher at Joliet Central High School and also substituted at District #86 Schools. Previously a member of the Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart in Lisle, IL. She spent many years ministering in education in the Catholic schools at Ss. Cyril & Methodius, St. John's, St. Ambrose, and the Catholic Diocese of Chicago, Fort Worth, TX, and Haugen WI.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice and the Senior Services, and many friends who provided care and support to Phyllis.
Funeral Services for Phyllis Marie Klimek will be Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Anne Catholic Church, Crest Hill, for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Masses or memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at:
