Obituary of Karl Kluever

Kluever, Karl H. Karl H. Kluever, age 87, of Oak Lawn, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Alden Estates of Naperville. An Army veteran of WWII, he was the former owner and operator of Karl's Texaco and later G & K Arco in Chicago. Beloved husband of 57 years, to Sophie A. (nee Szczepkowski) Kluever of Oak Lawn; devoted father to Karen (Terry) Flanagan of Davis, Kathleen Tice of Romeoville, Gayle (Keith) Allmandinger of Crystal Lake, Sherry Kluever of Romeoville, and Karl (Mary) Kluever, Jr. of Channahon; proud grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of two. Preceded by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Burial Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday morning from 9-11a.m. at the funeral home.
