Obituary of Ashlee Koerner

Ashlee Ann Angel Koerner Age 20. Suddenly, Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at her late residence with her family and friends by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Joliet on November 29, 1987, she was a lifelong Elwood resident. Attended Joliet Junior College, she was a graduate of Joliet Central High School Class of 2006 and graduated from St. Jude Catholic Grade School Class of 2002. Employed at Walgreen Pharmacy at Cass and Collins Street, as a pharmacy technician. One of Ashlee's greatest loves was dancing, which she began at the age of three, and was a student at Encore Dance Productions. She was a wonderful and kind girl, who lived life to the fullest, and brought joy to everyone she met. Preceded in death by her grandmother, Arlene Koerner (January 7, 2008); and Ashlee's beloved cat, Sassy, also known as "Little Man". Survived by her loving parents, Clarence and Judy (nee Fenili) Koerner; her devoted sister and best friend, Carlee Koerner all of Elwood; her loving and devoted boyfriend, Mitch Schroeder of Joliet; grandparents, Joseph and Beverly Fenili of Joliet; special Aunt, Tina "TT" Fenili; and beloved uncle, Joe "Hermione" Fenili both of Marseilles. Her aunts, uncles, three special cousins, Joey and Josh Fenili; and Chuckie (Heather) Thomas; and many special friends also survive. Funeral Services for Ashlee Ann Angel Koerner will be Monday, May 12, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to her family would be appreciated.
