Obituary of Nancy Koerner

Nancy A. Koerner (nee Toth) Age 61, of Plainfield, left this world to be in a peaceful place on Monday, March 30, 2009, where she will wait to reunite again one day with her beloved husband of 45 years. Survived by her husband, Larry G. Koerner; children, Kelly (Dave) Balcerak, Tracy (Shawn) Klier, and Marcy (Scott) Aschbrenner, grandchildren, Brittany and Jessica Balcerak; Jacqueline and Madeline Klier; two sisters, Elizabeth (Raymond) Koerner and Jackie (Ben) Moreno; two brothers, John (Janet) Toth and Tom (Kathy) Toth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude (nee Larkins) Toth. Nancy loved fishing and being with her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother, always the backbone of reason, as well as a wonderful friend. She touched so many lives with her love, kindness and concern; and she will never be forgotten. She was deeply loved and will be missed by family, friends and her second family at Jewel-Osco where she worked for 28 years as a chef's kitchen manager, most recently in Romeoville. She was their ray of sunshine, a very dedicated worker and well-liked by everyone; family, friends and co-workers. At the family's request, please refrain from wearing perfume. Funeral Services for Nancy A. Koerner will be Friday, April 3, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
