Obituary of Gregory Baranski

Gregory J. Baranski Passed peacefully, at age 60, Monday, November 17, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center after a short but brave battle with cancer. Greg lived and breathed the game of golf, and was an ever optimistic die-hard Cubs and Bears fan. He was a pipefitter and welder for BP Amoco in Channahon for 23 years, and Amoco Research Center in Naperville for 17 years. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and Reserve. He left us as a beloved husband, a generous father, a doting grandfather and a caring brother. Surviving are his beloved wife, Sheila K. (nee Hutson) Baranski of Channahon; three sons, Anthony Warren (Terri) and their children, Brandon, Taylor and Anna, of Channahon; Charles Drew (Erica Brandom) and their son, Jonathan, of Minooka; and Ahren Gregory (Katie Schumacher) of Channahon; eight brothers and sisters, Fredric (Marilyn) Baranski, Jeffrey (Phyllis) Baranski, Bonnie LaVoie, Susan (Tom) Hare, George (Pamela) Baranski, Brian (Theresa) Baranski, James (Sharon) Baranski and Steven Baranski; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins. Preceded in death by his father, Henry, and his mother, Shirley. Funeral Services for Gregory J. Baranski will be Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
