Konowalski, Louise M. (nee Voitik) Age 83. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Formerly of Our Lady of Angels. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. Survived by five daughters, Joan Howard of Palos Heights, IL; Mary (William) Tobiasz of Woodridge, IL; Diane (Dean) Friel of Oswego; Debra (James Slaboszewski) Lesh of Joliet and Laura (Anthony) Holstine of Oswego; ten grandchildren, John Howard III (Tricia), Julie (Steven) Trinka, Jennifer and Megan Friel, Jessica Lesh, Michael Slaboszewski, Alan and Michael Hooper, Eric Brummel and Zachary Holstine; five great-grandchildren, Brendan and Daniel Howard, Kimberly Trinka, Michael Hooper, Jr., and Ethan Hooper; one sister, Evelyn Voitik; one brother, Richard (Carmen) Voitik, all of Joliet; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, John T. Konowalski Sr. (1992); her son, John T. Konowalski Jr. (1996); her parents, Leo and Sarah Voitik; one brother, Leo Voitik; and two sisters, Margaret Voitik and Eleanor Voitik. A member of Cantigny Post VFW 367 Ladies Auxiliary, the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, C.C.W. and the Cathedral Seniors. Funeral Services for Louise M. Konowalski will be Monday, October 17, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
