Koren, Ronald E.
Age 77. Passed away suddenly Friday, January 13, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Ronald was owner and operator of Koren Motor Sales in Joliet for over 50 years, as well as Crest Creek Plaza. A veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserves. A parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church, Club 66 and the Plainfield Moose Lodge. He was also an avid boater.
Loving father of Ron Jr. (Carolyn), Richard (Melissa), Victoria, and Edward (Janis) Koren; dear grandfather of Sean (Jill), Douglas (Nikki); Michael; Chad, Max and Fay; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Silvia, Liddia, Nicholas and Nolan; his sister, Charlene (Donald) Tomich; his brother, Donald Koren; nephews Donald (Brittany) and Dean (Ann-Marie) Tomich; great nephews Jared and Jayce; great nieces Mia and Ava; and his stalwart boating companion, Jim Kobe.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Joan (nee Kraske) (October 2011); and his parents, Edward and Amelia (nee Bolatto) Koren.
Funeral Services for Ronald E. Koren will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Anne Catholic Church, Crest Hill, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Mooseheart would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, from 4-8 p.m. at:
