Helen M. Krieger
(nee Pennington)
Age 83. Passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at The Villages Hospice Home in The Villages, FL. Born May 19, 1924 in Plainfield to the late Roy and Iva(nee Brown) Pennington. She was a lifetime area resident prior to her illness. She was a graduate of Plainfield High School. Helen worked as a hand finish seamstress at Hart Schafner & Marx, and also worked for Doctor and Kaye Prock and family for many years. Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bingo player.
Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Krieger; her parents; sister, Gail (nee Pennington) Surniak; brother-in-law, Norbert Krieger; sisters-in-law, Frances (Daniel) Putoff, Leona (John) Crowe, Louise (Arnold) Heintzelman, Lucille (Armand) Cormier, Virginia (Peter) Scholtes and Loraine Krieger in infancy.
Survived by three brothers, Harold (late Joyce) Pennington, Kenneth (Lorraine) Pennington and Merrill Pennington; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Donald) Calahan and Roselind Krieger; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dear friend, Kaye Prock and her loving family. Helen was blessed with great, supportive neighbors.
Funeral Services for Helen M. Krieger will be Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
