Obituary of Cathryn Kroesch

Kroesch, Cathryn J. (nee Johnson) Age 92. At rest Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Shorewood, IL. Born in Washington, Iowa to the late Harold and Leona (nee Douglas) Johnson, she was a resident of Joliet most of her life. Cathryn devoted many years to the education of young children. She was the proprietor of The Village School in Plainfield and later she opened the Twin Oaks Early Learning Center in Joliet. She touched the lives of many families throughout Joliet, Shorewood and Plainfield. Cathryn was preceded in death by her loving husband Stuart Kroesch (1997). Cathryn was devoted to Stuart, who despite being blind was a respected attorney in Joliet for 53 years. Preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Virgil Johnson. Surviving are two sons, Douglas (Barbara) Kroesch of Davis, CA and Donald (Patricia) Kroesch of Minooka; four grandchildren, Mayta and Aaron Kroesch both of Davis, CA, and James (Allison) of Bloomington, and Jeffrey Kroesch of Minooka; two great-granddaughters, Allie and Mary Kate Kroesch of Bloomington. At Cathryn's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. Memorials in her name to the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic, 213 E. Cass Street, Joliet, IL 60432 can be made. Arrangements by: FRED C.
