Kubinski, Robert P.
Age 71, born in Joliet on December 26, 1939, and had been known by many names including "Bobby" the "Bull" and "King". Passed away suddenly as the result of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary (nee Brozman); and sister, Karen Litchfield.
Survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Jeanne (Escoe); six children, Robert A. Kubinski, Cindy (John) Jones, Denise (Bernie) O'Grady, James, Charlie and Jeff Escoe; 11 grandchildren, Kayla and Sally Kubinski, Zach, Rose and Sam Olson, Amanda Boyd, Aaron and Aidan O'Grady, Heather, Michelle, and Grace Escoe; two brothers, Edward (Judith), and Thomas (Patricia) Kubinski; three sisters, Judith (William) Stafford, Jeannie (Larry) Condon, and Pamela Baumgartener; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1957-1960 as a machinist mate second class on the USS Bache. Retired in 2001 from Stateville Penitentiary where he worked for 23 years as a pipefitter.
Bob was a proud grandpa, who enjoyed spending time with his family, attending Navy and St. Patrick Grade School, reunions, also coffee clutching with life long friends.
Funeral Services for Robert P. Kubinski will be Monday, April 11, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his grandchildren's education would be appreciated. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park where full military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
