Obituary of Phyllis Kulak

Kulak, Phyllis A. "Phee" (nee O'Connor) Age 64. At rest Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the home of her sister. Born in Joliet to the late Leo and Lorrayne (Blogg) O'Connor, she was a lifelong resident of Elwood. Graduate of Joliet Township High School. Retired from Elwood Food Shop following 20 years of service. An avid Cubs fan and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. Phyllis thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving are her loving husband of 45 years, John "Jack" Kulak of Elwood; two children, Dan (Barb) Kulak of Elwood and Kelly (Joey) Tacchia of Custer Park, IL; four grandchildren, Alex, Megan, Anna and John Kulak; two sisters, Joan (Robert) Warren of Braidwood and Colleen (Arthur) Prieboy of Elwood; two brothers, Mike O'Connor of Braidwood and Edward (Jane) O'Connor of Elwood; sister-in-law of Pete Stipanovich and Tom (Sherrie) Fellows;13 nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, and dear friends also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lorrayne O'Connor; two sisters, Carol Stipanovich, and Rosemary Fellows; her great-nephew, Myles Stipanovich. The family will receive all relatives and friends on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Private family services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by: FRED C.
