Robert F. Kweiser
"Bob"
Age 83. Passed away peacefully December 19, 2009 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Born on December 12, 1926 in Joliet to the late Frank and Clara (nee Mau) Kweiser, he was a lifelong Joliet resident. United in marriage on January 31, 1948 to Adeline D. James. A veteran of the United States Army. Member of the VFW Cantigny Post #367. Retired from the EJ&E Railway in 1988. Bob enjoyed his woodworking hobby, making trains, kid's toys, furniture and "knick-knacks".
Survived by his loving wife, Adeline Kweiser; their nine children, Carole (Bob) Johnson of Weeki Wachi, FL, Robert Kweiser of Ventura, CA, Janet Kweiser of Aurora, IL, Ginger (Steve) Snyder of Omaha, NE, Peggy (Phillip) Robidoux of Mountain View, CA, Richard Kweiser of Joliet, IL, Nancy (James) Durkin of Joliet, IL, William (Mary) Kweiser of Forrest, IL, and Kimberly Tynor of New Lenox, IL; his thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; niece, Sandy (Rod) Hamon of Braidwood, IL; and nephews Ronald (Roberta) Mau of New Lenox, IL, and Ray Bell of Rock River, WY.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Linda (Dale) Taylor; his parents; sisters Dorothy (Joe) Pillar and Marie (Ray) Bell; and brother Howard (Lillian) Mau.
Funeral services for Robert F. Kweiser will be Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, where full military honors by the U.S. Army will be accorded. Memorials in his name to the Cantigny VFW Post #367 would be appreciated.
