Kwelose, Charles R.
"Chuck"
Age 88, of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Born in Chicago, he grew up on a farm in Butternut, WI, the son of Polish immigrants Louis and Helen Kwelose. He was a former Bolingbrook resident. He was a paratrooper with the U.S. Army, who served during WWII. A truck driver for Signal Delivery (contracted by Sears for Interstate Transport).
Survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Charlotte (Wes) Leigh, Christine (Joseph) Ebenroth, Carol (Terry) Flynn, Cheryl Schriefer and Caren Kwelose; grandchildren, Raymond, Damon, Matthew, Dana, Emily and Mark; great-grandfather of Jake, Justin, Brandon and Matthew; one brother, Max (Yolanda) Kwelose.
Preceded in death by his son, Mark Kwelose; his parents and two brothers, Walter and Larry Kwelose.
Chuck enjoyed attending car shows, tinkering in the yard and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
A private ceremony will be held for his family with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Arrangements by:
