Isabelle E. Langs
(nee Schwarz)
Age 80. Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Salem Village in Joliet. Born in Chicago on September 23, 1930 to the late Anthony and Isabelle Schwarz. She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena, and volunteered for many years at the St. Francis Woods Convent. She was fond of gardening, and enjoyed playing bunko with her good friends, but above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.
Surviving are her children, Thomas (Carolyn) Langs, James (Nancy) Langs, Theresa (Bernard) Hoogstra and Nancy (Kyle) Ritchey; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward (the late Gail) and Charles Schwarz; long time friend and sister-in-law, Mary Schwarz; dear friend, Terese Zieman; brother-in-law, Bud Langs; sister-in-law, Lois (Bob) Hulsey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded by her husband, Richard Langs; infant daughter, Julie; brother, John Schwarz; and brother-in-law, Charles Langs.
A Memorial Mass for Isabelle E. Langs will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena. Inurnment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Arrangements by:
