Obituary of Jimmie Lantz

Jimmie L. Lantz Age 72. Peacefully Saturday May 16, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Bedford, Indiana and a longtime Joliet area resident. A veteran of the United States Navy. Retired from Illinois Bell Telephone after many years of service. Preceeded by his parents, Leonard Joseph and Myrtle Lois (nee Marshall) Lantz and one sister, Sharon Sue Lantz. Survived by his loving wife, Jeanine M. (nee Snider) Lantz of Joliet. One son, Daniel (Pamela Watters) Lantz of Shorewood. Two daughters, Leanne Lantz and Lynette Wingate, both of Joliet. Two grandsons, Matthew Wingate and Kevin Lantz. Four grandaughters, Jamie (Josh) Schlegel, Carly Lantz, Jaclyn and Stephanie Wingate. One greatgrandaughter, Emilee Schlegel also survives. Funeral services for Jimmie Lantz will be Tuesday May 19, 2009 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Ave., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Jimmie's request, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in his memory would be appreciated. Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. No Visitation.
