Obituary of Alberta Larson

Alberta Larson (nee Lippon) Age 84, of Joliet, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Loyola University Medical Center. Alberta was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, who was always there for her family unless the Cubs were playing. After raising her family, she worked for K-Mart in New Lenox for 12 years, and later Harrah's Casino for five years where she is remembered as the "Sweetheart of the Gift Shop". She will be dearly missed by many, especially her Waste Management friends who made each Monday special. Survived by her two sons and three daughters, Richard "RJ" (Janie) Larson of Ottawa, Susan Larson of Joliet, Mary (Rex) Provenzale of Surprise, AZ, Dwight (Mande) Larson Jr. of Rensselaer, IN and Elizabeth Larson of Joliet; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Orr of Madison, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwight E. Larson, Sr. (September 25, 2000); her parents, Joseph and Eva Lippon; one sister, Martha Chapman; and one brother, Frank Lippon. Funeral Services for Alberta Larson will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
