Florence G. Larson (nee Gryfinski) Age 90 3/4. Peacefully entered eternal life with the Lord, at home with her family by her side on Friday, July 11, 2008. She held numerous offices and was past President and Gold Star Sister at Harwood Post #5 Ladies Auxiliary. A lifelong member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for many years and a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club and the Machinist Retirees Club. Preceded in death by her husband, George "Bert" Larson (2002); parents, Joseph and Sarah Gryfinski; two brothers, Joseph and Edward Gryfinski; one sister, Gertrude; and son-in-law, Richard Boyne, Sr.. Survived by her daughters, Donna (fiancé, John Ken Vidican) Boyne, Darlene (Claude) Williams, Sr., and Debbie (fiancé, Jim Richerson) Wollard; sons, Dwayne (Donna) Larson, Dennis (Karin) Larson and Douglas (Pam) Larson; grandchildren, Kimberly Decker, Richard Boyne, Jr., Claude Williams, Jr., Clyde Williams, Stacy Chambers, Steven Larson, Eric Larson, Andy Larson, Kevin Larson, Christina Larson, Jason Wollard, Christal Minton, Brian Spreitzer and Sarah Spreitzer; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Tony) Kayfish; one brother, Bob (Sandra) Gryfinski; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and numerous friends. The family would like to thank the angels at Joliet Area Community Hospice, especially Sam, Sandy, Sue, Marlene and Mary; and her nurse, Margie. They helped make her heavenly journey peaceful and special. Funeral Services for Florence G. Larson will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Bernard Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
