Obituary of John Latta

John R. Latta Age 61. Suddenly, Wednesday December 17, 2008. Born in Chicago to the late Roy and Lucille (Christianson) Latta, he was a resident of Channahon the past 30 years. He was employed by the Palinfield Park District and formerly with Nussbaum Trucking Co. A member of the Teamsters Union Local #705 and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Joliet Lodge #300. John was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Michele (Pilkington) Latta of Channahon; three children, Michael (Stephanie) Latta of Diamond, IL., Katharine Latta and Emily Latta of Channahon; one grandson Nicholas Latta. Preceded in death by his daughter Sharon in infancy, and his parents. Funeral services for John R. Latta will be Saturday, December 20, 2008, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon, for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place Monday, December 22, 2008 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
