Obituary of Anthony Barone

Anthony J. Barone Age 88, of Shorewood and formerly of Argo, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 at his home. Born June 17, 1921 in Chicago to the late Michael and Anna (nee Bruno) Barone. A United States WWII Marine veteran, serving with the Marine Wing Service Squadron 9. He was a retired carpenter, and member of the Carpenters Union. Beloved husband of 61 years to Mildred (nee Morelli); loving father of Joseph (Vivianne) Barone, Thomas (Lucienne) Barone, and Bernadette Barone; devoted grandfather to Jennifer Barone and Brian Barone; dear brother of Raymond "Sam" Barone; godfather to Michael Sawka, Santo Campione and Kelly Maloney; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Louis Barone; two sisters, Margaret Mudd-Runyan and Ann Hines. Anthony was a friend to so many. He approached his death the same way he had approached life, with a positive attitude. Funeral Services for Anthony J. Barone will be Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield.
