Arthur Canty Lennon
"Bud"
At rest suddenly, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at his late residence. Born July 11, 1955 in Joliet to Jean (nee Canty) and the late Arthur Lennon, he was a lifelong area resident. Graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK, he was a licensed air frame and power plant mechanic, also a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in electrical engineering. A United States Marine Corps Veteran; he was awarded the Meritorious Mast, Marine of the Year in 1976. He retired from ComEd, Dresden Station, in 1995 as a licensed nuclear operator. Owner and President of Channahon General Rental, Inc. since 1996. Member of Channahon Lions Club, St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon, American Rental Association and the Grundy County Gun & Rod Club.
Survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Rebecca (nee Hotuyec) Lennon of Minooka; four children, Ashley (Mark) Conner of Indianapolis, IN, Michael Lennon of Minooka, Caitlin Lennon of Minooka and Claire Lennon of Minooka; his mother, Jean (nee Canty) Lennon of Joliet; one sister, the Honorable Dinah (John) Archambeault of Joliet; one brother, John Lennon of Frederick, MD; one nephew, and several nieces.
Preceded in death by his father, Arthur T. Lennon (1988); sister, Elizabeth "Lisa" Lennon (1973).
Funeral Services for Bud Lennon will be Monday, November 19, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at:
