Obituary of George Barren

George F. Barren Age 84, of Joliet and formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 13, 2010 with his family by his side. U.S. Army veteran, serving during W.W.II. Member of the American Legion. Retired repairman from AT&T (Illinois Bell). Loving husband of 58 years to Lenore C. (Demchuk); beloved father of Kenneth (Linda), Tom (Robin), and Nicholas Barren; proud grandfather of Gina (Andy) McDonald; Samantha, Joe, and Toni Barren; numerous nieces and nephews survive. Preceded by his parents, George and Elizabeth (Kanera) Barren; siblings, Ella (Rock) Pelzman, Louis Barren and Millie (Dick) Archer. Private services will be held, with interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the National Parkinsons Foundation would be appreciated.
