Sister Mark Livingston, OSF Of the Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate, died at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, Joliet, Illinois, where she resided, on May 31, 2007, at the age of 91. She was a member of the Joliet Franciscans for 64 years. She was born in Chicago, Ill. and baptized Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Genevieve (Sell) Livingston; and brother, Clarence. She is survived by her identical twin, Sr. Luke, OSF, cousins, and her Joliet Franciscan sisters. Sr. Mark graduated from St. Francis de Sales Grade School, Chicago, and completed the two-year commercial program at the same parish high school. After four years of ministry with children at Guardian Angel Home in Joliet, she began her life-long service to sisters as a cook and housekeeper. She spent 24 years working in the convent of her home parish, St. Francis de Sales, before serving at Holy Trinity Convent in Westmont and then at St. John the Baptist, Joliet, for 17 more years. Many of these years were spent working side by side with her identical and much beloved twin sister, Sr. Luke. Since 1997 she has resided at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. The wake will be at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue, Joliet, Ill. (Wyoming and Rt. 30) on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, from 2:00 - 6:45 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:45 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be Wednesday, June 6, at 9:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Angels to Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, Ill.
