Obituary of Katie Loftis

Katie M. Loftis Age 57, of Coal City, passed away with her family at her side on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Katie was the most loving and caring wife, mother, family member and friend. She had an open mind and an open heart, and welcomed all she met with open arms. She was a genuine person, who put others needs before her own always. Survived by her husband, Jackie L. Loftis; five children, Paul Mayfield (Sherry) Loftis, Angela Michelle (Brian) Guardiola, Robert Henry (Martha) Chaney, Tammy Lynn (David) Moran, and Jack Leo Loftis, Jr.; four grandchildren, Amanda Gustafson, Kari Loftis, Steven Loftis, and Joseph Floyd; five brothers, Gary Johnson, Hank Johnson, Harry Johnson, Roger Johnson, and Willard Johnson; many nieces and nephews, and an adopted family which included many. Preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Richard Darrell. Memorial Services for Katie M. Loftis will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Christian Life Assembly of God Church, 2960 E. Division St., Coal City, IL at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Memorials to the family would be appreciated. Visitation at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
