Obituary of Lance Luke

Lance B. Luke Age 52. Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his late residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Joliet to the late Albert and Marion (Behrends) Luke. He was a lifelong resident. Lance was a published Christian writer. Surviving are his beloved wife of 33 years, Diana (Girtman) Luke of Channahon; two children, Matthew (Jodie) Luke of Joliet and Michelle (Tony) Xydakis of Morris; his special grandchildren, Matthew, Jr. and Madeline Luke; Anthony and Sophia Xydakis; one brother, Jahn (Debby) Luke of Ohio; one sister, Paula (Fernando) Dicresce of Missouri; dear uncle of Amanda and Joshua Luke; Jason and David Wathan. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ocke and Elsa Behrends. As it was Lance's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. The family will receive all friends and relatives on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Memorials in his name to the wishes of the family would be appreciated. Arrangements by: FRED C.
