Obituary of Rose Barrowman

Rose L. Daniels Barrowman (nee Alaimo) Age 92. Passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Joliet on November 20, 1915, she was a lifetime resident. Member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, the CCW, Ladies Auxiliary Cantigny Post #367, Lockport Moose Lodge Auxiliary #575, Soar Steelworkers Retirees Organization and the Lockport Township Swim Club, Dennick Pool. Rose was the Joint Tune-Up Arthritis Queen and was selected as Chicagoland Area Arthritis Association Participant of the Year 2003-2004. Survived by her son, Phillip (Lucy) Daniels of Crest Hill; stepdaughter, Patricia Barrowman of Joliet; one sister, Marie (Ed) Ciesielski of Lockport; four grandchildren, Rosemarie A'Hearn of Shorewood, Dr. Joseph (Dana) Daniels of Ft. Worth, TX, Mary (Darryl) Koerner of Columbia, KY and Phillip (Paige) Daniels of Shorewood; 11 great-grandchildren, Mia and Anthony Pesavento; Ryan, Patricia and Michael A'Hearn; Ciara and Savana Daniels; Joseph, Richelle, Carmella and Nicholas Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Kayona Pesavento; two; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Daniels (1965); second husband, Robert Barrowman (1996); parents, Vincenzo "Jim" and Vincenzina "Virginia" (nee Territo) Alaimo; two brothers, Joseph (Bernice) and Michael (Pat) Alaimo; three sisters, Connie Militello Lovero, Virginia (Clarence) Wilson and Josephine (Milan) Wright. As it was her wish, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass for Rose L. Barrowman will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1711 Burry Circle Drive, Crest Hill. Inurnment Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Community Hospice would be appreciated. Family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
