Obituary of Robert Mackley

Robert W. Mackley "Bob" Age 81. Peacefully, Sunday, October 10, 2010 at his late residence with his family by his side. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong area resident. A U.S. Army veteran. Retired from Caterpillar. A charter member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Braidwood, IL. A former member of the Assembly of God Church in Joliet. Preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Batterman (1999); his parents, James and Leila Mackley; two brothers, Don (Noralyn) and Glenn Mackley. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia A. Mackley of Poplar Grove, IL; one daughter, Pam (Bob) Rowley of Poplar Grove; one son, David (fiancee Karen) Mackley of Joliet; eight grandchildren, Shannon (Joe) Kruchten, Sharon (John) Wiley, Chris and Jennifer Batterman, Kristen, Andrea, Emily and David Mackley; three great-grandchildren, Andy Wiley, Nadiya Kruchten and Alaina Hernandez; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Robert W. Mackley will be Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastors Wade Heimer and George Hendricks officiating.
