Marchetti, Alberta Ruth
(nee Kehnast)
Age 90, of Joliet, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, April 14, 2012 with her family at her side. Born April 23, 1921 in Thayer, IL, she was employed by Joliet Federal Savings and Insta Foam, Crest Hill.
An angel of the ballroom dance floor, Alberta will be dearly missed at the Willowbrook Ballroom and the Joliet Slovenian Home. NASCAR also lost one of its biggest fans.
Surviving are three daughters, JoAnn (Frank) Yackly of Wilmington, IL, Carol Bredesen of Fairview, TN, and Betty (Glenn) Immekus of N. Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Janet (Steven) Robbins of Wilmington, IL, Jodi (Rob) Morris of Fairview, TN, Tony Immekus of Surprise, AZ, Mike Bredesen of Tennessee, and Matt Cheveny of Lima, OH; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd S. Marchetti (1971); her mother, Hannah (Riley) Kehnast; father, Albert Kehnast; sister, Hannah Mae Hofer; brother, Fred Kehnast; and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn (Yackly) Cheveny.
A special thank you from the family is extended to Margie, Sue, Phyllis and Sam, her caregivers from Joliet Hospice.
Funeral services for Alberta Ruth Marchetti will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial in Elmhurst Cemetery will be private. Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at:
