Obituary of Lester Marchiniak

Lester M. Marchiniak Age 58. Passed suddenly, Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born and raised in Joliet, he was a Shorewood resident for the past 26 years. A graduate of Lewis University and Joliet West High School Class of 1970. A Realtor for Remax Realty of Joliet, he was also employed at Cornerstone Services. Formerly employed at Kemlite Manufacturing for over 20 years as a supervisor. A former member of the Joliet Jaycee's. Former Pinto League Commissioner and coach for the Troy Baseball League. He was an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan, as well as extremely dedicated family man. Preceded in death by his devoted parents, Sylvester "Les" and Dorothy (nee Czajkowski) Marchiniak. Survived by his cherished and loving wife of 38 years, Bonnie K. (nee McCabe) Marchiniak of Shorewood; two sons of whom he was extremely proud, Michael (Jessica) Marchiniak, Sr. of Channahon and Matthew (Kerry) Marchiniak, Sr. of Shorewood; three precious grandchildren who were the loves of his life and fondly called him Papa Les, Matthew, Jr., Emma and Michael, Jr.; two dear brothers, Larry (Ginger) Marchiniak of California and Mark (Joy) Marchiniak of Plainfield; beloved brother-in-law of Pat (Barb) McCabe; four loving sisters-in-law, Mary Helen (Jack) Ritzer, Jayne McCormick, Maureen (Jim) Donnelly and Bobbie Carroll; former brother-in-law and good friend, Don Carroll; numerous caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss him greatly. Funeral Services for Lester M. Marchiniak will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Lester's wish, Cremation Rites will be accorded following the funeral Mass.
