Obituary of Robert Markley
Robert H. Markley
Age 75. At rest Monday, December 28, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born October 28, 1934 in Joliet to the late Homer and Gertrude (nee Cox) Markley, he was a lifelong resident. Formerly employed by Joliet Warehouse as a truck driver. Member of Teamsters Union Local #179, and the Wilmington Recreation Club (WRC). He was an avid fisherman.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Larrian (nee Arcuri) Markley of Joliet; five children, Robert J. of Chicago, Patrick (Victoria) of Sandwich, IL, Tina Markley of Joliet, John (Karen) of Plainfield and Duane Markley of Chicago; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; siblings, Loral Livingston, William (Lorraine), John "Jack" (Carol), Trudy (James) Surges, Thomas (Jeanne), and Mary (Frank) Minnito; his sisters-in-law, Carole Markley and Diane Markley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael "Mickey" and Donald.
Funeral Services for Robert H. Markley will be Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cremation Rites will follow with inurnment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Friday 3-9 p.m. at:
