Obituary of Oscar Martinez

Oscar Martinez Age 35, of Pearland, TX and formerly of Joliet, died suddenly, Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at his home of apparent natural causes. He was born in Joliet on August 1, 1974 to Maria C. (nee Guzman) and the late Florencio Martinez, and was raised here and graduated in 1992 from Joliet West High School. Formerly employed at Johns Manville Joliet Plant and had currently been employed as a welder based in Houston, TX. He enjoyed watching and playing football. He also enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. Survived by his mother, Maria; brothers, Jaime (Leticia) and Danny (Sandy); proud uncle of Sylvia Samantha Martinez; Ivan, Diana and Isabel Martinez; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his father, Florencio (1999); and one sister, Sylvia Martinez (1990). Funeral Services for Oscar Martinez will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
