Obituary of William Martin

Martin, William H. "Cornbread" Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born March 26, 1942 in Jonesboro, AK to Vida M. (Johnson) and William H. Martin Sr. Resident of Shorewood, IL for over 34 years. Survived by his loving family, his wife Ann (Watson); daughters, Lori (Dean) Jones, and Cheryl (Ron) Fox; six grandchildren, Ashley, Sam and Cody Jones, and Tyler, Torey and Taryn Fox; also survived by his brother-in-law, Mike (Connie) Watson; sister-in-law, Julie (Gary) Urzik; and nephew Keith and his family. Bill loved watching his grandchildren participate in all of their many sports. He was an avid golfer, loved to travel and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his good friends Bill, BJ and Joey Widlowski along with Dean, Ron and his grandsons. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff of the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Funeral Services for William H. Martin will be Friday March 16, 2012 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
