Obituary of Michael McDermott

Michael J. McDermott Age 51, at peace Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, with his family by his side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. He attended Joliet East High School and St. Mary Magdalene Grade School. He was a wholesale plumbing supplies sales representative in the Joliet area for many years. He was an avid Chicago sports fan. One of his greatest loves was rock music. Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Anastasia McDermott. Survived by his devoted stepdaughter, Mindy (Randy) Williams of Joliet; two grandsons, Ryan and Eric Williams; two loving brothers, David (Jodi) McDermott of Joliet and Richard McDermott of Arizona; four loving sisters, Donna (Robert) Anderson of Florida, Doris (Roger) Lonergan of Joliet, Janice McDermott of Naperville and Vivian McDermott of Arkansas; four nephews; great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Michael J. McDermott will be Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Cremation Rites will be accorded following funeral services. Memorials in his name to the March of Dimes in honor of his grandson Ryan or Catholic Charities would be appreciated. Visitation SUNDAY 12:00 noon until time of services at 4:00 p.m. at: FRED C.
