James E. McDonald
"Bud"
Age 89. Peacefully, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness with his family by his side. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Channahon resident. A long time real estate developer in Channahon, IL. Formerly a farmer and livestock dealer also in Channahon and Minooka. A member and former usher at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka. His greatest loves in life were spending time with family and friends, harness racing, a good game of cards and dancing.
Preceeded by his parents James and Anna (nee Kavanaugh) McDonald. One sister Mary Jane Clennon and James' long time companion Frances Pace.
Survived by his loving daughter Denise (Bob) Larson of MN; his beloved son Kevin McDonald of Channahon; one cherished granddaughter Alette McDonald; former wife Madeline "Mudge" McDonald of Crest Hill; one brother John (Delores) McDonald of Channahon. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for James E. "Bud" McDonald will be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary's Catholic Church for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Minooka. Visitation Friday 3 - 8 p.m. at:
