Obituary of Virginia Beallis

Virginia K. Beallis (nee Daum) Age 82. At rest Monday, October 20, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Elmer and Ruby (nee Hazelip) Daum. Survived by three children, Linda (Doodle) Rodgers and Ralph Beallis, Jr. both of Joliet and David (Sue) Beallis, Sr. of Manhattan; six grandchildren, Ken (Anne) Rodgers and Daniel (Tracy) Beallis both of Elwood; Scott (Sara) Rodgers of Braceville, David (Heidi) Beallis, Jr. of Godley, Holly and Dawn Beallis; nine great-grandchildren; a beloved niece and nephew, Dennis and Carol Beallis of Joliet; and other numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph, Sr.; her parents; two brothers, Ralph (Bette) Daum and Karl Daum (in infancy); and one sister, Doris (George) Towsley. A Memorial Service was held for Virginia Beallis on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with family and close friends attending. Rev. Carl Wagner officiated.
