Obituary of Glenna Meadows

Meadows, Glenna M. (nee McQuead) Age 81. Peacefully, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Born in Joliet, she was a lifetime Joliet area resident. Retired from Joliet Junior College in the food service department. Preceded in death by her husband, Glen W. Meadows (1978); one granddaughter, Heather Lynn Dively; and one sister, Nellie Murphy. Survived by her companion, Bill Moran, who has been a special part of her life for the past 20 years; three daughters, Barbara Callans of Plainfield, Nancy (Tom) Murray of Joliet, and Denise (late Perry) Dively of Joliet; one son, Glen A. (DeAnna) Meadows of Channahon; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (late Dale) Schaffer of Nevada; one brother, John "Bud" (Jean) McQuead of California; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Glenna M. Meadows will be Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Comfort officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
