Obituary of Louis Meintel

Louis E. Meintel "Louie" Age 26. Suddenly, Monday, September 28, 2009. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. Louie had a zest for life; a fun loving, hardworking individual, who had a thirst for knowledge. He loved music, fishing, and playing drums. In his younger years, he enjoyed baseball. Louie had a special devotion to his family, including his cat, Chelsea. Survived by his mother, Denise (nee Perona) Meintel of Joliet; father, Louis (Cheryl) Meintel of Tinley Park; two sisters, Rayme Meintel of Joliet and Olivia Isabella Meintel of Tinley Park; one brother, Ehren Meintel of Joliet; maternal grandparents, Robert J. and Elizabeth (nee Marchio) Perona of Joliet; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Dorothy (nee Forte) Meintel of Shorewood; his great-grandmother, Ann Marchio of Joliet; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, especially John Bowman. Preceded in death by his aunt, Florence "Lorie" Meintel Parini; great-grandparents, Ceasar "Jake" Marchio; Dominic and Myrle Perona. Funeral Services for Louie E. Meintel will be Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough Street, Joliet, for a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Visitation Thursday 6-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
