Obituary of Elisa Mejia
Mejia, Elisa V.
Age 90, of Shorewood, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Lakewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Elisa worked as a surgical technician for Provena St. Joseph Medical Center for over 20 years, and previously worked in retail and as a secretary. She enjoyed singing with the Cathedral of St. Raymond Choir and the Sweet Adelines. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels well into her late eighties, and was a member of the American Society in Mexico and the 55+ Club.
Surviving are her children, Adriana Mills of Austin, TX, Sylvia (David) Efner of Shorewood, IL, Maria Spiers of Austin, TX, Maximilian (Kimberly) Mejia of Plainfield, IL, and Rodolfo (Beverly) Mejia of Channahon, IL; her grandchildren, Monica-Lisa Mills of NY, Alexander Mills of Marfa, TX, Erin Efner (Jesse) Ososki of San Francisco, CA, Nathan Efner of Chicago, IL, Marisa (Screven) Edgerton of Austin, TX, Michael Spiers of Austin, TX, Megan (Michael) Dionne of Morris, IL, Matthew (Kara) Mejia of Shorewood, IL, Mallory Mejia of Shorewood, IL, Rodolfo Lee (Angel) Mejia of Channahon, IL, Casey (Clorissa) Mejia of Channahon, IL and Adam Mejia of West Palm Beach, FL; and her great-grandchildren, Liam Ososki of San Francisco, CA, Bradford Edgerton of Austin, TX, Holden Edgerton of Austin, TX, Marissa Mejia of Las Vegas, NV, Cecilia Mejia of Channahon, IL, Cordarro Mejia of Channahon, IL, Gabriel Mejia of Joliet, IL, Jasey Mejia of Joliet, IL and Elliot Ososki of San Francisco.
She was preceded by her beloved husband, Maximiliano Mejia, and one son-in-law, Joseph Mills.
Memorial Services for Elisa V. Mejia will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue Joliet. Interment will be private. Friends will be received at the Cathedral from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Arrangements by:
