Obituary of Joshua Mellen

Joshua A. Mellen Mr. Joshua A. Mellen, 28, of Morris, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 15, 1981 in Joliet he was the son of Trudi (Phil) Cheshareck and the late Peter Mellen. He graduated from Gardner-South Wilmington High School in 1999. He continued his education at ITT Tech, graduating in 2003 and earning his Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. After graduating he worked at Aidex Corp. in Morris as a Technical Support Specialist. On September 22, 2007 he married Megan (Paterson) at Gebhard Woods in Morris. Surviving are his wife, Megan; mother, Trudi (Phil) Cheshareck; grandmother, Dell Peterson; brother, Kevin (Kathy) Mellen; grandfather, Paul (Jane) Mellen. Preceding him in death were his father, Peter Mellen; grandfather, Harry Peterson; grandmother Louise Mellen Josh loved his family and friends. He enjoyed riding his quad, playing video games, and reading. He always had a smile on his face, never complained about anything and made the best out of every situation. Cremation Rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be private at the Braceville-Gardner Cemetery in Braceville. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Morris. Arrangements by: FRED C.
